So Summer is right around the corner. I don’t know about you, but this is my favorite time of year. It’s the time of year where I tend to wear little to no makeup. In order for me to go make-up free, I have to be confident in my skin. When I was a teenager my mom instilled in me the key factors to maintaining great skin. One of those key factors is using a light scrub on your face and body at least once a week. There are so many things right in your kitchen that make a great scrub, like sugar, baking soda, and coffee.
If you are like me and you’re always on the go, you might want to simply buy something and keep it moving. My favorite drugstore scrub is St. Ives Apricot Scrub. They have so many options nowadays, however, my personal favorite is the Blemish Control.
Now if you're looking for a brand that is personable and uses 100% natural ingredients I say go small. There are so many small organic beauty businesses popping up, why not support? I recently purchased a coffee grind scrub from SunKiss Organics off of Esty and it was amazing. If you love the smell of Coco, then get the Coco-coffee scrub. It was the first scrub I didn’t need a moisturizer immediately after.
Please note when using a scrub on your face you must be SUPER GENTLE. When using something like coffee or sugar the edges are not perfectly circular so the rough edges can cause damage if you scrub too hard. The scrub is intended for the body.
If you want to learn more about SunKiss Organics check out their shop on Esty.
Ciao for now!
