I’m a New York City girl who loves to eat. I’m always looking for new places to try. For months
I have been hearing great reviews about this little restaurant called Penelope's. Well, my fellow foodie’s I finally made it and the 45-minute wait was totally worth it!
Brunch at Penelope's is perfect for anyone who loves good American comfort food. I ordered, " Penny's Sandwich" (scrambled eggs, American cheese, smoked applewood chicken sausage on a buttery croissant and pesto)... Just delicious! I love the fact they have many vegetarian options as well like " fake bacon" aka soy bacon and vegan gravy.
I should have known this place was going to be good the moment I saw Sir Kensington’s Ketchup (it’s my favorite). The staff and service are nothing short of 5 stars! Penelope’s has a vintage and inmate feel with its wooden church pew benches. I've been to places where the food was good, but the service wasn't or vice versa. Penelope truly has it all, good food, friendly staff and cool decor. I definitely recommend you make a visit.
If you go to Penelope located on 159 Lexington Ave, tag me @maryvinrose I would love to see what you order. Also get a side of home fries they're delicious! Side Note: they don’t take reservations and the restaurant is small so get there early!
Ciao for now,
